Welcome to the Darcey’s Studio FAQ page. Here you’ll find answers to our most commonly asked questions about lash and brow treatments, appointments, aftercare, and what to expect when you visit the studio.

Whether you’re new to lashes and brows or a regular client, this page is designed to give you clear, helpful information so you can feel confident and fully prepared ahead of your appointment.

Where are you based?

Darcey’s Studio is a home-based beauty space in Banstead, Surrey. The full address will be sent automatically via your booking confirmation email and reminder texts.

What’s the easiest way to get in contact?

The easiest and quickest way to get in contact is via Instagram, however, you can also fill out a contact form on our website or via  telephone.

Do you accept new clients?

Yes – new clients are welcome! Certain treatments may require a patch test before your first visit.

Do I need a patch test?

Yes, new clients are required to have a patch test for lash extensions, lash lifts, brow tinting, hybrid stain and brow lamination.

They must be booked and completed at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you’re unsure, just ask – I’m happy to advise.

How do I book an appointment?

All bookings are made through the online booking system (linked on the website).
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your slot.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged 50% of the service total.
No-shows are charged 100% of the service cost.
This is agreed to at the time of booking.

How do I change or reschedule my appointment?

Appointments can be rescheduled with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.Please message via Instagram to change any appointments or reschedule via the booking confirmation email link.

Do you refill (infill) other lash techs’ work?

No – I do not offer foreign infills.
If you have existing lashes on, please book a removal + new set.

How long should my lashes last?

With proper aftercare, lash extensions last 2–3 weeks before needing an infill.
Retention varies based on natural lash health, lifestyle, aftercare, and seasonal changes.

How should I arrive to my appointment?

For lashes:
– Please arrive with clean, makeup-free lashes
– Avoid mascara, oils, or heavy skincare around the eyes
For brows:
– Try to avoid fake tan around the brows 24 hours before

Can I bring someone with me?

Due to limited space and to maintain a calm environment, appointments are solo only unless previously discussed.

How long will my appointment take?

Full sets are booked for 2 hours, wispy sets for 2.5 hours, and infills for 1.5 hours. Brow treatments range from 30–60 minutes depending on the service.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept both card payments and cash. Deposits are taken automatically via the booking system.

Is there parking?

There is free on-street parking available outside the studio. Please allow enough time to find a space and arrive promptly for your scheduled appointment.

Do you offer training?

Yes – online and in-person training is launching soon.
You can join the waitlist via the Education section of the website.

What happens if I’m late?

There is a 15-minute courtesy window, but after this I may not be able to carry out your treatment. Late arrivals may still be charged in line with the cancellation policy.

What if I have an allergic reaction?

Stop using any lash or brow products and contact me or seek pharmacy advice.
A patch test is always recommended for new clients to minimise risk.

I don’t know which style I want?

No worries at all! A thorough consultation is carried out before any appointment to discuss what you’d like to achieve.
